Who doesn't love a curry?

One of the most popular curries in Britain is a chicken tikka masala. This recipe by Romy has veganised the nations most favourable curry and made it suitable for everyone!

You can use textured vegetable protein or tofu for this recipe for a delicious, vegan 'fake away.'

Method
  • 1.

    Finely chop the red chilli and add to a large frying pan on a medium heat along with onion, garlic, ginger, tomato puree, all the spices and the plant based margarine

  • 2.

    Once everything starts to cook and smell fragrant, add the coconut cream, copped tomatoes and crushed cardamon pods

  • 3.

    Bring to the boil and then turn the heat to low to simmer for around 10 minutes

  • 4.

    Season with salt and pepper and the juice of a lime

  • 5.

    Add the re-hydrated textured vegetable protein chunks or (tofu) and simmer for a further 10 minutes

  • 6.

    Chop the fresh salad tomato and red bell pepper and add to the pan for the last 2 minutes to soften

  • 7.

    Serve with rice and sprinkle with fresh coriander and naan bread and voila! Enjoy!
