Not only do these make a tasty treat, but black pepper also encourages better uptake of the active ingredient in turmeric, curcumin. Winner! Enjoy this lovely tasty snack.

Use any nuts you like: pecans, brazils, cashews, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts all work well!

Method
  • 1.

    Pre-heat the over to 190°C (170°C fan). Mix the oil, pepper, turmeric and salt in a medium bowl.

  • 2.

    Add the nuts and mix thoroughly.

  • 3.

    Spread the nuts evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  • 4.

    Cook in the oven for 7-10 minutes keeping a very close eye on them and mixing them in the middle.
