These nutty vegan granola bars make a vibrant, healthy snack to serve with your favourite herbal tea for an afternoon treat. They contain just 9 ingredients making them simple to make as well as being completely vegan and easy to make gluten free too! And they are the perfect way to use up your Easter egg chocolate!

  • 1.

    Prepare and measure out ingredients and preheat oven to 180 degrees

  • 2.

    In a mixing bowl, mix together the date sugar (organic or non organic depending on your preferences) and water until smooth. This will be fairly thick in texture.

    Add the pistachio butter and sunflower oil and mix together well

  • 4.

    Add the oats, cinnamon, macadamia nuts and hemp seeds and combine well

  • 5.

    Line a loaf tin with parchment paper to prevent any sticking

  • 6.

    Press the mixture down into the tin and place in the oven for around 12-15 minutes until golden (be careful not to burn)

  • 7.

    Once golden in colour, remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin for around 10 minutes before moving to the fridge to cool

  • 8.

    Once cooled, remove from the tin and place on a wire rack to decorate

  • 9.

    Melt dark chocolate buttons and drizzle the chocolate over your bake and sprinkle with shelled hemp seeds

  • 10.

    Once the chocolate has cooled, slice into bars and serve with your favourite herbal tea.
