If you love chocolate, you will love these seeded flabjacks. This recipe uses carob powder to create a raw chocolate topping that finishes off the creation perfectly.

  • 1.

    In a bowl, mix together the oats, dried cranberries, and shelled hemp seeds

  • 2.

    Melt the coconut oil, nut butter and raw honey/maple syrup in a small pan

  • 3.

    Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and combine well

  • 4.

    Line a 20cm loose-bottom cake tin

  • 5.

    Pour the mixture into the tin and press down firmly and set aside

  • 6.

    Melt the coconut oil with the honey/maply syrup then remove from the heat and allow to cool very slightly

  • 7.

    Whisk in hte carob powder until smooth and pour over the flapjack base to cover

  • 8.

    To finish, sprinkle over the hemp seeds and cacao nibs and place in the fridge for a minimum of 3 hours to set

  • 9.

    When ready, remove from the fridge and pop out of the tin onto a chopping board

  • 10.

    Slice into wedges and enjoy!
