Nut milks are so easy to make yourself, and cashew nut milk is no exception! It makes a creamy, very slightly sweet dairy free alternative to milk.

  • 1.

    Soak the cashew nuts for at least 4 hours (or overnight).

  • 2.

    Drain and rinse until the water runs clear.

  • 3.

    Combine with water and blend until very smooth. Optional ingredients: add salt, dates or any other flavouring to taste.

  • 4.

    Strain through a nut milk bag, cheesecloth or any fine mesh material.

  • 5.

    Voila! Cashew nut milk!
