Carob & Cinnamon Hot Chocolate

The summer may be fast approaching but we still love to cosy up of an evening with a deliciously smooth hot chocolate. This recipe is simple to make and has an amazing flavour combination.

Method
  • 1.

    In a blender add the medjool dates, carob powder, cinnamon and almond milk (or milk alternative) to a blender and whizz for a minute or two. (If using almond butter you can add it at this stage along with the other ingredients)

  • 2.

    Once blended, pour into a saucepan and heat on low for 5 minutes (or until warmed through)

  • 3.

    Add 1 tsp of Troo (or raw honey) to a mug ready to mix with the liquid

  • 4.

    Using a strainer or a sieve pour the hot chocolate liquid through and into a mug to remove any lumps from the dates

  • 5.

    Stir well to combine the honey and sit back and relax

  • 6.

    Note: you could also use a milk frother to froth up your hot chocolate to add extra texture to the smooth, nutritious hot chocolate
