This beautiful apple, chia and amla cake topped with lemon icing sugar and chopped almonds, sprinkled with eye-catching edible rose petals, contains no unrefined sugar and is packed full of nutrients.

  • 1.

    In a large bowl mix together flour, eggs and oil until smooth

  • 2.

    Stir in the chia seeds, chopped apples, date syrup, raw honey, amla powder and cinnamon and mix until smooth

  • 3.

    Pour mixture into a loaf tine and place in the oven for 20 minutes

  • 4.

    Remove from the oven and leave to cool

  • 5.

    Top with your choice of toppings - here I have used a lemon icing glaze, sprinkled with chopped almonds and edible rose petals
