With the warm weather approaching this is the perfect recipe for those summer mornings sat in the garden!

Acai is a fantastic superfood - the berries (which resemble grapes) are found on the acai palm trees in South American rainforests. Acai powder is packed full of antioxidants and fibre and is the perfect way to add a punch of nutrition in your diet first thing in the morning!

This nourishing bowl of goodness is simple to make just top with your favourite toppings to mix it ip and keep it exciting! Think fresh fruit, dried fruit, seeds, nuts, coconut flakes and nut butters to name a few...

Method
  • 1.

    Gather all of your ingredients and set up your blender.

  • 2.

    Chop and prepare fresh fruit rand set aside ready for later

  • 3.

    Add the frozen raspberries, frozen banana, acai berry powder, flaxseed, coconut yogurt and almond milk to the blender and whizz until smooth. Add more milk if need until desired consistency is achieved - this is meant to be a thick consistency.

  • 4.

    Once you have the right consistency for your liking pour into a bowl ready to decorate

  • 5.

    Edge your bowl with fresh fruit - in this case strawberries, blueberries and raspberries

  • 6.

    Place a dollop of coconut yogurt along with a handful of coconut chips on the opposite side of the bowl

  • 7.

    In the middle, add the toasted buckwheat, sunflower seeds and hemp seeds

  • 8.

    Finish with a generous spoonful of almond butter.

  • 9.

    Sprinkle with delicate rose petals to finish the bowl off and enjoy!

  • 10.

    Alternatively, you can top with a variety of your favourite toppings to mix it up each time you have it for breakfast.
