This raw vegan chocolate is so quick and easy to make (plus it’s delicious, which helps!). There is no need for any special equipment or moulds, just chuck it on a flat tray with toppings of your choice and make bark out of it. Or drizzle the melted chocolate onto desserts, ice cream or cakes. You can of course use moulds too if you want prettier, neater chocolate. But we don’t always care about that!

In our opinion, if you’re going to have chocolate then you may as well get the most nutrition out of it as possible! After all, pure cacao is actually pretty good for us! 

Please note: This chocolate can stick quite stubbornly, so we recommend using greaseproof paper to prevent any sticking!

    In a heatproof bowl over a saucepan with a little boiling water in the bottom melt the cacao butter (or melt in a bowl of a double boiler).

    Once the cacao butter has completely melted whisk in the cacao powder and agave syrup.

  • 3.

    Add the additional salt and/or vanilla if using and mix well.

  • 4.

    Pour the chocolate onto a lined baking tray, silicon sheet or line with coconut oil and spread evenly. Use flexible moulds if you like! While the chocolate is still soft add your toppings and transfer to the fridge for 30 mins to cool.

  • 5.

    When completely set, break up into rough shards or cut into pieces and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
