About Organic Irish Kombu

Organic Irish Kombu contains a vast amount of minerals and is exceptionally rich in iodine. Iodine is needed for growth and function of the thyroid gland and for energy metabolism. It may also contribute to preserving healthy hair, nails and skin. Irish Kombu needs to be soaked for 30 mins in water to reduce the high iodine levels found in its raw form. It is naturally high in fibre with 32g of fibre per 100g and has been traditionally used as a natural dietary fibre for years. Irish Kombu is high in protein making it a tasty,chewy, low calorie snack for any time of day.
