About Organic Ground Linseed

Ground linseed, also known as flaxseed, ground flaxseed or even milled flaxseed, has a high fibre content and is easy to consume in your daily diet. It is recommended to have a tablespoon of flaxseed a day to help with increasing your fibre consumption, however do not exceed 5 tablespoons).

Flaxseed has been grown in parts of Asia and Egypt for years and used as an ingredient in traditional medicines. It is now commonly used as an aid for constipation and digestion due to its high fibre content.

Linseeds contain numerous beneficial components including Palmitic, Stearic, Arachidic and Oleic fatty acids (Omega 3). Perhaps the most important of these fatty acid components is Linoleic and alpha-Linolenic acid - essential fatty acids required for a healthy heart, growth and development.
