The Murta Berry is from an evergreen shrub known as Ugli molinae or Ugni molionae, and is native to southern Chile and Argentina.

The fruit is sometimes marketed as "Ugniberry", as "New Zealand cranberry" in New Zealand, and the name "Tazziberry" has been trademarked in Australia, but it is not a native plant to these countries.

Famous for its unique taste, which made it one of Queen Victoria’s favorite fruits when first brought back to England.
