Free From

Free From foods consists or a variety of foods that have eliminated ingredients such as dairy, egg, sugar, wheat and gluten. We have a wide range of food alternatives for those who may suffer with allergies or tend to avoid certain foods and food groups.

Egg Free Foods

Egg-free foods such as mayonnaise have been produced without any egg traces. The number of egg allergies are increasing particularly amongst young children. Having an egg allergy is the second most common allergy in babies and infants. The aggravation and symptoms of an egg allergy derive from the white of the egg not the yolk. Consuming egg-free products is highly important particularly in children that tend to suffer more than adults. There are now a wide range of egg-free products available including egg-free mayonnaise however you could also make slight changes at home such as baking with a flax-egg or chia-egg as a replacement - it’s easier to do, simply mix 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons of water for a like for like replacement. Once mixed pop in the fridge to help thicken and set your flax-egg.

Dairy Free Foods

Dairy-free foods are easily accessible. People with a dairy allergy tend to react to suffer with a whole range of symptoms as their immune system is sensitive to these ingredients. If you are new to a dairy-free diet it’s really easy to make simple swaps at home. There are a vast amount of dairy-free products available and they are tasty too! Try opting for natural alternatives such as coconut or nut milk in replacement for dairy milk in drinks, cooking and baking. If you love pasta - top with nutritional yeast for a vegan parmesan substitution!

Gluten Free Foods

Gluten-free foods are great for those with gluten intolerances and celiac sufferers.  Celiac disease is the most severe form of an intolerance to gluten. Most people who have a gluten or wheat intolerance are simply hypersensitive to these ingredients and are unlikely to have celiac disease, however rest assured, it is easy to find gluten-free foods and alternatives to favourite products such as a whole range of flours, pasta and breads.

No Added Sugar

No added sugar products are for those who choose to avoid sugar or suffer with health issues such as diabetes. They focus on avoiding sugar as an ingredient without saving on taste! We have a range of sugar foods including chocolate, milk and sweets available in our sugar-free range.
