But in its natural form, it can be a little messy – and doesn’t stay fresh for long. So why not make things a lot easier for yourself? Our natural and organic beetroot powders will give you that unmistakable, irreplaceable tart-sweet-sour-fresh taste – only in much more generous quantities and far longer-lasting form. If you love whole foods you will love our vibrant beetroot powder!

There are a number of articles online discussing the benefits of beetroot powder in the diet and the positive effects it can have on the body such as lowering blood pressure.

  • Introduce beetroot powder to baking to add a vibrant pink colour and sprinkle with edible rose petals for a finishing touch
  • Add to cooking curries, stews and soups for a boost in colour and nutrients
  • Use in a bowl of savoury porridge oats for a nutritious meal
  • Add to chickpeas and tahini to make a beetroot hummus - perfect on rice cakes and crackers!

Beetroot Smoothie Ideas

Not convinced on some of the above suggestions? Perhaps stick to the smoothie route and experiment with new flavour combinations. Here are a few smoothie recipes using beetroot powder to get you started:

  • Frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, almond milk and beetroot powder
  • Frozen banana, spinach, frozen mixed berries, beetroot powder and water
  • Frozen banana, coconut yoghurt, avocado, coconut water and beetroot powder

Remember: Start small and taste test before you sit down to enjoy your delicious, nutritious smoothie. You can always add more, but never take away.

Other Brilliant Beetroot Flavour Combinations

Spice wise, you might just fall in love with some of the following combinations. Mix your beetroot powder with spices such as cinnamon, cumin, caraway and paprika and add to curries, stews and soup or blend spices together to create a rub for poultry such as chicken.

Herbs well suited to beetroot include: basil, mint, coriander, thyme, marjoram and of course any tasty mixed herb blends.

Try making homemade beetroot infused chocolates, simply by melting dark chocolate and adding beetroot powder gradually to find the right amount for the perfect combination - top with goji berries and set in the fridge for a couple of hours.

In most cases, when making a sauce for cooking, you will be able to substitute fresh beetroot – which requires a large degree of prep and fuss – for an equivalent amount of dried beetroot powder. And you can even up the quantity, if you’re a major beetroot fan.

It's good to also point out that we ship beetroot powder to UK and Europe and do not charge the earth for p&p! So whether you want small or bulk sizes of our delicious beetroot powder whole foods, we've got you covered!
