Prunes

Dried plums are known as prunes. Prunes are a sweet and soft dried fruit. Californian prunes are famous for there taste! Prunes and prune juice are often used to help regulate the movements of the bowels. Prunes are also a good source of anti oxidants.

Pitted prunes are ready to eat, very soft and sweet. They have been sorbated to preserve there moisture.

Unsorbated prunes have the stones in and are a lot tougher. These are ideal to cook with because the stones help to hold them together.
